Andrew West was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins University. In the lab of Dr. Ted Dawson, his research aimed to explore the role of the enzyme LRRK2 in neurodegeneration, with a focus on identifying pathways and drugs to intervene in the disease process. He earned his Ph.D. in molecular neuroscience from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and earned his undergraduate degree from Alma College. Currently, Dr. West is a Professor of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology at Duke University.
