Digital health technologies (DHTs) such as wearable devices are increasingly being used to measure “digital biomarkers” or other digital assessments in clinical studies. This webinar will introduce several ways that DHTs are being used in clinical research, with a focus on clinical trials. NINDS staff will present a brief overview of relevant funding opportunities followed by a discussion with two guest speakers to talk about their experiences incorporating DHTs into clinical trials. The webinar will also highlight several informational resources when planning for successful implementation of using DHTs into their clinical studies.
Speakers and organizers for this webinar include:
- Carol Taylor-Burds, PhD: Program Director, NINDS Division of Translational Research
- Adissa Silue, PhD: Health Program Specialist, NINDS Division of Translational Research
- Kristina Hardy, PhD: Program Director, NINDS Division of Clinical Research
